The artwork I create is a spontaneous capturing of the authentic moments in our own human nature.

Instinct and Intuition drive the work. Mainly figurative, the forms are made without a preconceived idea of how the results will appear.

The figures, or faces, are caught in a transitional moment. Their honest state of being is revealed. Some are suspended in a moment of ambiguity. Soft yet solid, vulnerable yet empowered.

The essence of all these works is the gesture itself. A simple gesture, or subtle facial expression can reveal an abundance of variables, all happening at once.

Fluctuation of thought, mood, and identity are constantly happening in our daily experience. Even the simplicity of staying still holds a plethora of energy. I find the work successful when the physical movement of the body is felt, while the internal, cerebral experience is also revealed at the same time.
